Maria Isabel de Almeida Alvarenga earned a Bachelor of Law degree (1994) and a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law (2001), both from the University of São Paulo Law School. She attended the “Advanced PIDA International Commercial Arbitration” course at the International Chamber of Commerce, in Paris (2010). She was an assistant professor of the Specialization Course in Corporate Law of the post-graduate school (COGEAE) of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1997-2001), and the author of articles published in specialized books and reviews. She is an arbitrator of the Chamber of Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration of the Law Firms Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo Chapter – OAB/SP.

Maria Isabel has more than 25 years of experience in Dispute Resolution, Civil Litigation, Regulation and Arbitration. She has a distinguished practice both in preventing litigation and in complex arbitrations and lawsuits in the areas of Business, Corporate and Administrative Law, developing innovative and creative strategies. She works alongside clients in the sectors of aviation, chemical industry, civil construction, financial services and others.
